About IOT — Your Local Print Partner Since 1995
In 1988, Bob Brennan began his career in the printer industry. He became the CEO of International Office Technologies. Before that, he worked as a sales rep for a new company. His job was to sell recycled and re-inked printer ribbons to companies in the Twin Cities. In the late 80s and early 90s, the way businesses operated and the printer industry changed with the introduction of laser toner printers.
In 1995, Bob decided to start his own company and created International Office Technologies Inc. At that time, many businesses sold printer supplies. But Bob saw that they were lacking something key. He wanted IOT to offer full printing solutions, not just sell supplies.
He created a plan for his business and opened a shop in his parents’ basement in West Saint Paul, MN. While he enjoyed lunches made at home and visits from the family dog, he worked on a full solution. This would give customers printer supplies and service & repair. He called it the Total Laser Care (TLC) Program and began telling companies in St. Paul and Minneapolis about it.
